“Mal Pas is located in the charming coastal area of Mal Pas-Bon Aire, just a couple of kilometres from the wonderful historic town of Alcúdia, whose picturesque mediaeval walls and Roman archaeological site are wonderful to explore. Mal Pas’s garden gate opens on to a little road that leads down to a couple of beaches, a section of rocky coastline and the Bonaire marina, home to a couple of restaurants.

Also just a few kilometres away is the gorgeous beach of Port d’Alcúdia, a family-friendly resort with golden sand and plenty of things to see and do, including water sports, lidos, restaurants, bars, shops and much more. Heading north, a short drive will take you to Port de Pollença, another welcoming seafront town with a fabulous sandy beach.

Mallorca’s eastern seaboard to the south of Alcúdia is well worth exploring thanks to its numerous idyllic little beaches, its pine woods and coastal nature reserves, and its ancient hill-top watchtowers.”

“Bonaire is a truly exceptional location in the North of the island. With its exclusive and glamorous, yet highly authentic feel, it rivals areas such as Andratx or Son Vida in the South. Its growing popularity is owed in large part to the stunning natural scenery for which Bonaire is famous, with spectacular beaches, famous hiking trails and world-class restaurants all within a close vicinity. It really doesn’t get much better than this.”

This 4 bedroom property has a large open plan reception room, incorporating the lounge, dining space and kitchen. With considerable utility, garage space and basement there’s plenty of storage space. Each bedroom has access to an en-suite. There are terrace spaces at both ground and first floor level allowing you to look down onto the sloping gardens and tree line boundary, providing privacy and shade and balcony views that can reach the sea.

The property is unfurnished yet it wouldn’t be too hard to imagine the wow potential once decorated and dressed. Given the character of the property in its current form the owner could easily bring a traditional Caribbean-style feel to this Spanish island getaway.Wood accents in particular would add depth, contrast and authenticity.

Rattan, bamboo, and woven pieces that add texture to the space are excellent choices of finishes. Existing rooms have dark wooden window frames providing contrast and creating a sense of richness. Suggestions might be to change the flooring to wood or wood effect. Marble or terrazzo would soften the space and add luxury. The fireplace in the living room could undergo a simple cosmetic refurbishment, introducing a native stone and local method of construction, reflective of the properties location.

With some minor changes, such as introducing double glazing, changing window frames and modernising the flooring, it could be possible to create a more contemporary style of property. Wall tones from neutral whites to browns and white pieces of furniture create a calming modern interior.

There is a good amount of storage space within the property and so there is some potential to reclaim some of this in key rooms such as the master bedroom. The same potential exists in the utility areas where space could be reclaimed as part of the kitchen area if a larger kitchen was required. Externally, gains can be made by raising the boundary wall at the front gate to provide greater privacy to the pool. A simple reconfiguration of the garage and landscaping between the garage, pool and front door might improve garage access and overall curb appeal.
